John Sutton, MBA, CPA, CPTM, is the CTAS Certified County Finance Officer (CCFO) Program Manager and Instructor with over 40 years in governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. He joined CTAS in July 2019 after serving as a senior audit manager with PUGH CPAs and other Knoxville-based firms. Previously, he was a staff auditor for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. John holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University, an M.B.A. from UT Martin, and has been a CPA since 1987. A sixth-generation East Tennessean, he lives in Knox County with his family.
