Free Training Opportunity! Successful Connections

County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS), Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS), and the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury are excited to announce a new training opportunity open to all local government officials of counties, cities, and utility districts, Successful Connections.

Successful Connections is a state and local government partnership program geared toward networking, best practices sharing, and relationship building. This program will consist of quarterly meetings at 11:30am CT that include panel discussion and facilitated breakout sessions. This program offers 1.5 hours of CPE credit toward CMFO, CCFO, and utility board training -- be sure to request this credit when registering.

A kick-off meeting for the program is scheduled for Friday, February 25, 2022, at the UT IPS Training Facility at Polk Ave (193 Polk Ave, Suite D, Nashville, TN 37210). Web-based attendance at this kick-off meeting will be available via Zoom. 

Comptroller of the Treasury Jason Mumpower will deliver the kick-off meeting introduction followed by a panel moderated by Chris Caldwell, Knox County Chief Financial Officer/Co-Chief of Staff.

  • Mayor Huffman, Tipton County
  • Bruce Giles, Utility District Manager
  • Rebecca Hunter, Utility District Commissioner
