COCTP Recertification Rollover Credits

News Date

Did you know? Certified Public Administrators can be eligible for recertification rollover credit. If they earn more than the 16 credits needed to maintain their certification, they can request to rollover up to 8 credits.

Example:
Jane is a Certified Public Administrator and earned 20 credits in FY2020 (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020). Since she only needs 16 credits to remain certified, she can request to rollover 4 credits to FY2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). If she does this, she would only need to earn 12 credits in FY2021 to remain certified.

What are Recertification Rollover Credits?
Recertification rollover credits are designed to allow certified COCTP participants to use the extra credits earned in the previous fiscal year to supplement credits earned in the current fiscal year. The additional credits can be rolled into the current fiscal year if you earned more than the 16 required credits in the previous year. You may rollover a maximum of 8 credits. Rollover credits can be requested using the Recertification Rollover Request form on the COCTP webpage.

To request rollover credit please use the button below OR use the link on our COCTP webpage: From the CTAS homepage, click on Training, then County Officials Certificate Training Program, then Recertification Rollover Request in the left sidebar menu.
