County associations have a new resource at their disposal as Morgan Crocker, a Shelby County native, joins the staff of The University of Tennessee County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS). Her primary duty will be to respond to the needs of the Tennessee County Services Association, Association of County Mayors, Tennessee County Commissioners Association and Tennessee County Highway Officials Association.
Crocker is a recent graduate of the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy.
She has been highly involved in the Tennessee General Assembly for the past two years. During the 2016 session of the 109th General Assembly, Crocker worked as a committee intern for Rep. Charles Sargent, chair of the House Finance, Ways & Means Committee. As the committee intern, she spent a vast amount of time learning the state budget process.
During the most recent session she spent working as a Senate bill clerk. She clerked several Senate committees, including Health & Welfare, State & Local, and Judiciary.
Crocker’s administrative duties with the county associations will include such things as marketing and communications, website development and maintenance, and conference management
