Managing Conflict and Difficult Conversations

Managing conflict and difficult conversations are among the most important leadership skills, and also the most intimidating.  Conflict is a normal and necessary part of
leading a team, and well-managed conflict is a key element in making progress.  This session will provide information regarding the need for well-managed conflict in every organization,
as well as tools for making it happen.  

Participants will:
·      Learn the different styles of conflict management, and when each style is most appropriate
·      Complete a survey that will identify the individual’s default style
·      Discuss a model for minimizing emotion in conflict and difficult conversations
·      Identify three mindset shifts essential to managing difficult conversations

Participants will learn and practice skills that will improve their ability to manage conflict through discussion, exercises and case studies.
